Ingredients
250 gm Okra (Bhindi)
Juice of half lemon
2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp red chilly powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp Besan (Gram flour)
1/8 tsp asafoetida
4 tbsp Mustard Oil
Salt to taste
Method
- Wash thoroughly , pat dry and slice the okra into pieces of 1 inch length.
- Add all the spices and salt to okra, mix well so that spices coat up the okra. Leave aside for 5 min.
- Add enough besan to coat the sliced okra.
- Heat oil in a wok and fry the okra in batches till they are tender.. Each batch will hardly take 2,3 minutes. Draine excess oil while taking it out in serving dish.
- Now mix lemon juice to the fried okra in end.
- Serve hot with chapati.
