Boondi Raita

Ingredients (Serves 4-5)


1 bowl cold yogurt
1 cup dry boondi
1 tsp cumin powder
A pinch of asafoetida powder(hing)
1/2 tsp red chilly powder (optional)
A pinch of black pepper powder
A pinch of black salt  powder
Table Salt to taste


Method


  1. Whisk yogurt so its light and creamy, for 2 minutes.
  2. Add in water to suit the consistency according to your liking.
  3. Add all the spices leaving cumin powder.
  4. Add boondi and mix well.
  5. Garnish with cumin powder and serve chilled.
  6. Optionally you can add chopped corrainder leaves and mint leaves too for an extra flavor.
